Hi, new guy again with a question or two: I'm trying to find out if the rear fog light mounting bracket for a 911 is the same for a 914? I've seen the 914 complete unit for sale many years ago on your site. AA has a Hella and a genuine Porsche unit. Will the 914 bracket fit both? Are the Hella and Porsche units identical? I put a wanted ad in today if someone might have both. Thanks again for all your help.

Weren’t rear fog lamps required outside the US ?
I like the Boxster’s rear fog light, and I used it several times when dense coastal fog came in.
The bulb is built into the left tail light lens and is very Bright.

You can buy reproductions of the mount from 914Rubber.Com. I think you can even buy the lamp itself. The lamp requires a modification as the hole they put in it is in the wrong position. Fortunately, there is a boss in the right spot so drill there.

I never understood people who don’t understand why people would do a period correct mod to their car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) it’s not your car. You don’t get a vote. Here’s mine. It has the fog light and I went to a great deal of work to get it, including CAD drawings of original mounts and making 50 sets. Can’t seem to find a picture of the rear of my car so I threw in Eric’s.

Make sure you sue the 911 light. It has a different angle on the base.

Thanks for all the pictures and the tips on where to get my setup. I can't wait..... I did check 914rubbercom and they have a schematic with pictures of the whole setup, but nothing listed for sale. I emailed them. Sean

He has it. He got about 35 sets of mounting brackets from McMark and me, the lights are available in Europe and I think he brought in a couple dozen. I think he even has the wiring harness.
It’s hard for them to keep up, putting things on their website. So many things being developed so fast. Just ask. He even makes 944 parts! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
