I'd like to fool around on your english wheel if you don't mind parts being fabricated for an italian car (targa roof panel for a Lancia Scorpion)...

OK, it's looking like we can do this on Saturday, June 2.
The good news is there's lots of interest. The less than good news is that my shop isn't unlimited in size. So, logistics will be the most "interesting" part of this party. In order to make this work as well as possible, we need to account for who's doing what. Note that it may be impossible to accommodate everyone in one day. We can carry over to Sunday or set up follow up sessions, as needed. I'll take what I can from the existing replies and put it in the initial post to work up a sort of schedule. Looking over the current list of who wants to do what, I think we're in good shape and can accommodate all these efforts happening at the same time, crowded tho, my little shop may be with all this going on! Well, this is painful. By coincidence, it looks like I'm going to be right there in Petaluma that weekend for my first ever visit to the Bay area. But with a full agenda for the weekend that will prevent my attending this epic event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

That weekend is the same as the Historics Races at Sears Point and Parts Heaven swap.

That weekend is the same as the Historics Races at Sears Point and Parts Heaven swap. Hmmm, good thing I said "Target Date". I'm not married to that weekend and I totally spaced on the Historics and would like to attend, at least one of the days. Plus, if we move the date, maybe we can talk Brent into traveling to CA twice in one year! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) |

PartsHeaven can be done from 7AM to 9AM unless you want to stick around and bask in the glow of CWs.

I can skip parts Heaven and do the Historics Sundy, but other people may need their junk/CW fix.

Edit: Jeff at PartsHeaven just told me that the date for the swap meet hasn't been set yet. Probably in the next two weeks. Call back. |

I'm up in Santa Rosa and would dig coming down to watch/help, but only if there's room. If not, please bump me.
Thanks for hosting! |

And you may know, I'm the guy/location where Kevin O used to do his bicycle building. Looking forward to meeting you. |

Let's see if anyone absolutely can't make June 2 work and unless it's totally critical, I'm thinking we keep the date.
I'll watch for comments over this weekend and we'll make the final call early next week. |

Unless I'm having yet another brain fart, I'm not sure I know who Kevin O is... Regardless, I'm looking forward to meeting you too and seeing some of the old local gang as well. |

I’ve got this on my calendar. I’m currently contemplating mods to my metal front bumper for a radiator intake. But I’ll likely begin working on that project prior to June 2nd. In any case, I’d like to stop by just to see your workshop, meet new folks and see old friends. Thanks for hosting this event!

Sounds like this would be a good event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
What I need in lieu of a metal working seminar is a wiring seminar, wiring is shot on my daughter's 70 teener. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Dave |

OK, barring something totally unexpected, we are a GO for Saturday, June 2.
REQUEST: - If you're planning to work on something specific, please check the first post and be sure I've captured you/it in the "Attendees/Project/Tools" section. - If you need materials, either bring them with you or if you want to leverage our local steel supplier or Tube Services f(or DOM tube), PM me to coordinate. Note: Tube Service will deliver to my shop for $20. I can pick up sheet metal or non-DOM, I just need to know what you need. Please don't wait til the last minute. - If you're planning to attend and watch/learn/jump in and help/take pics, please check the "Attendees/Tips & Tricks" section to be sure I have you listed. LUNCH: There are a couple nearby places to get lunch and I'm sure we can enlist someone to make a food run. Please plan on covering the costs of your own food. I'll provide a case or two of water. Looking forward to a fun day! |
