Even though 'Not A Real Member', my wife, Dianne was an active participant with the 914 group, attending some Route-66 Runs, West Coast Classics and various other local get-togethers, including at the shop and our home in So Cal. She even had her own 914 (HOWARD).

To all of you who knew Dianne, thought to let you know that she passed away in her sleep early in the morning on April 18th of this year.

She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's 4 years ago and I had been caring for her at home up until she was hospitalized in March. She's not suffering with that dreadful disease any more and I'm sure she had enough points to get past the pearly gates (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Mark-

Sad news. RIP Dianne.

I have fond memories of you two. Her 60th Birthday party was a blast...my wife and I had a great time.

Stay strong Mark, don't be a stranger

BTW- your wife Dianne WAS a real member in my book

Porschef Joe Munch passed Sunday 12/29/24. Those who knew him knew he was a great person and 914 fanatic. I had the pleasure of meeting him the first time in person years back at a rebuild clinic I did in NY. Happy to have seen him for years after an other gatherings that I could make it to. He will be missed.

Automotive Journalist and Porsche guy for Road & Track (and my really good friend) Joe Rusz (Ruszkiewicz) died last week.

If you read about Porsche in R&T over the decades, chances are Joe wrote it. And probably shot the pictures.

He's missed. A lot.

Sorry I missed this post. Indeed Joe was a very special person and stalwart of R&T. I have 3 of his annual Porsche Sport issues; now well worn.
RIP Joe.
