Andy is the resident source on factory ops - so perhaps he has a better estimate since 2240 is a June build, and 2347, 2318, 2486 are also June builds - and 2602 is July, that suggests they built at least 2602-2240 ~ 60 cars or more in June '70 ` per above calc should be more like 20cars x 20days ~ 400 cars in June alone but 400/month ~ 4000++ per yr - and they only made 3360 in 3 yrs - so something doesn't work in this calculation perhaps they pumped out a batch initially & then when they didn't sell, cut back production substantially?? |
