1st 914 was a 75 back dated to a 70 . i bought the chassis from a guy who,lost interest and had all the parts ready to put the car back together with a compleat rebiult motor and most of the parts i had the car painted and started the restore that was 1998 i have owned 42 . 914s since then in 1999 and 2000 the car was in the dime a dozzen status you could find them real cheap and alot of great parts were still out there to be had i cought the bug and started buying them to drive for a wile then flip and move on to the next barm find . i have owned every year and color made two sixes / i currently have a 3.6 with 350 hps its the fastest and funnest 914 i have ever owned . i am done buying and selling them but will never sell my 914 , its a trwin plug..... my first porsche was a 86 911 targa i got out of that to buy the 914 that started the furry of run

71 and still going. I first drove one at a Porsche dealer in CA while attending college in Santa Barbara in 1975. Purchased this one in 2009, it was a California car. Getting harder to get up and down to do brakes and adjust valves. Lots of fun and it keeps me young.

bought my first 914 in 1996, a 73 2.0L sold a few years later then bought a 70 which I had for 12yrs and foolishly sold, 73 track car (sold) and now a 73 autocross car and another 73 2.0 running project car. Have had (and still do) many many parts cars.
