Jett,

That's a great color!
Sorry to ask, but can you elaborate?
Not quite the typical aubergine- !

PTS ordered Aubergine. Depending on the light and angle it changes shade.

I'm a little stuck. Looks like an early 911 ignition switch may work for my car. I'm moving the switch. Looking at the wiring diagram it is four wires and a ground. The 911 switch has four electrical padel connectors. Is a puzzle i must solve

I just went through 26 pages of brackets, no luck. Tried everything else I could think of in the search. Do I not have my secrete decoder ring set right? I’ll call tomorrow lol

That is great to see that he is interested in cars and mechanical things. He will be hooked on cars thanks to you. You are a wonderful neighbor to take the time to pass your knowledge to the young man. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Thanks Geezer... I had him instruct me today (and check my work) as I rebuilt the other one. So we both benefited from the experience! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Find an old lawn mower engine, tear it all the way down and put it back together (even if you don't replace any parts). Watch the grin get even bigger when he pulls the rope and it starts. Next step after that is type IV

Geezer: Also, teaching the kiddo to rebuild carbs is great. I’ve contemplated teaching my 10yo daughter to weld as I learn. She’d probably make more $ working that I do.

I have an ongoing project that keeps stealing time from my real passion, The Race Car, Carerror soon to be christened Aoouuu ( a howl that I do when excited). Another passion I have is being addicted to smoke, in one form or another. You would be very hard pressed to find better baby backs, I love Ribs. That being said I am a total failure at brisket. So I saw someone that inspired me to try again at brisket. I'm building a Smoker for Brisket, a dule basket brisket rotisserie. I saw a video of brisket done in a rotisserie at about 10 RPM. In their set up the brisk hardly dripped at all. Slowly boiling in it's own smoked tallow.

I'm drooling just thinking about it.

I'm back on the Dual Basket Brisket Rotisserie. Actually working on the baskets. At this point I have gathered the parts for the baskets. In the picture from left to the right. The pivot, aluminum parts get screwed to the smoker box. The bolt and steel plate welded to the basket. In the middle the basket top. On the right is the drive end, the 1/2" square tubing fits into 1/2" square drive adapter. If I get all the dimensions correct I'll be able to slip the square drive in the hole and drop the pivot into place.
