Not nearly as big as some of the other projects here but, I added some new wall art to the workspace. Got the board shortly after Christmas and the hangers arrived Saturday so, viola!

If I could, I'd up-vote that Powell deck....nice!

Had work and snow here, got the use the snow thrower for the first time in years. It only ate on neighbor's door mat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) that's what I get for trying to help neighbors. Took a good hour to cut it out of the auger.

I hung a couple of 8ft double rows of LED light in my shop. From Amazon at $18 per delivered with all hardware, these are a screaming deal. They have and are outlawing florescent lights. These work great

A friend has a Lotus 7 replica and asked that I install a bigger turbo and build a new exhaust. So that's what I did!

Still cleaning up & painting various parts for the 912, and prepping the drive train so it can get installed at the restoration shop.

Had a friend locate and blast some grungy parts I needed that were at my place in AZ ...

... and shipped out here - but they needed a final touch-up, so they got dropped off with some other parts to get 'professionally' blasted ... should get them back mid-week and will paint those newly blasted parts and install them whilst installing the rest of the drive train.

Decided to sand and re-paint the 2 interior door trim pieces at home since the rust wasn't too bad. I'll be reupholstering the interior panels and seats. Going to install the 914Rubber seat heaters too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Haven't worked on the 914 in about a week, too much shit happening here. Really. I built a Jetter just to clear some shit. In the background you can see that my dog ate my homework. The new connection box is now under the trailer and I still need to do the trailer brakes. A hole new brake a way system should arrive today. Still need to do some work on both the other projects but the car is over in her new shop. I can't wait to start working there.

Picked up the 67 911 up from Scott's Independent in Anaheim and drove it for the first time! Still a few things to do but it's close!

Intro thread on the 911S board is here:
https://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/sh...;highlight=rudi

The 914 lives in the midwest so it's great to have another fun car to keep here in L.A.

Yeah - I know how fortunate I am. Very thankful.

More prepping on the 912 project ...

Got the parts back from the blaster a couple weeks ago ... cleaned, primed and painted them as needed.

One of the flapper boxed Primed:

... and painted (semi-gloss):

... the other one is primed, I plan to paint it this afternoon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Transmission mount:

Sanded, primed & repainted the interior door & rear quarter window trim (I painted them many years ago, but they developed some surface rust sitting in the garage over the years).

Primed & painted:

They'll get vinyl upholstery when it's time to work on the interior (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

... also cleaned up the transmission and getting ready to replace all the seals I recently bought from Pelican Parts

I'm not doing any of the wrench-turning on this - leaving it to the professionals - but the 67 is getting closer to being "back" - suspension install is done, alignment and the euro ride height is set. New exhaust and muffler, a couple of leaks and a full detail to go....for now.

Nice. Would love to find a nice SWB 912- bid on one last week on BAT and had the bid at 2 minutes (which means nothing) but it went for a little more than I wanted, and it was in the wrong side of the country!!

In the middle of engine rebuild on my 930. Avoiding all major work on the 914 until the 930 is back on the road. I need to have one of my P-cars running at all times.

Today's chore was removing the half shafts. Will be cleaning, inspecting, repacking the CVs then install the shafts on the opposite sides.

Next is removal of the driver rear hub to do new bearings (pass side done a few years ago), new front bearings, and removal of the oil cooler and tank for cleaning.

Waiting for some lifting help to finish the engine swap. Need my son and one or two of his friends to lift the "new" engine off the stand and mate to the transaxle... then I can do the rest.
Been doing this since the early '70's but the 75 year old body doesn't quite move like it used to!!
