I've been SUP stand up paddling/surfing.
I drove the 914 today too, so there's that. |

Pushed out the nose dent [that my wife caused] on the Ghia ...
Before: After: ... just needs a little hammer & dolly work to get it back to normal (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) |

If I'm lucky - they will only remove what's inside the circle! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) Nope! Not lucky - they expanded the butchery on Wednesday. I won't post picture because in the process of cutting more, it caused some stitches to pop and there wasn't much to sew back to. Medical equivalent to blowing a hole welding (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) pretty gory now with open wounds. Skin graft still to be scheduled ! Hopefully next week. |

Superhawk996 - I am hoping for the best for you. Skin cancer is a bitcX.
I go yearly for a full body screening and every year they cut and burn stuff off. The hard part was I was never really a go lay out in the sun kind of person. Sure, occasionally I would go lay out and relax but it was few and far between as I was always working or going to school. Not like some people who go bake everyday and look like leather. But I did spend about 5 years riding a motorcycle daily as part of my career and my face and arms got a lot of sun. I never thought of sun block back then. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) |

Superhawk996 - I am hoping for the best for you. Skin cancer is a bitcX. I was never really a go lay out in the sun kind of person. Thanks guys! I wasn't either . . . though I might have gotten drunk on the beach a few times when stationed along the Gulf Coast and woke up later with sunburn when I was 18. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) Who would have thought the things I did back when I was 18-20 would have consequences in my 50's! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) I'll be fine - not stage 4 or anything like that but no fun none the less! Do get checked out if there is any thing that is new or suspicious. In my case, my main Dermatologist missed it for 2 years - it was atypical and just seemed like a minor rash that would come and go. When they did the biopsy - lo and behold Melanoma and it has turned out to be bigger than any of the last 3 specialists thought it was just based on appearances. Just keeping busy with minor engine work that doesn't require cutting / grinding / or laying on my shoulder or back. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) |

Met with the Pastor to get my kids baptized. 914 takes a back seat to this one.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one with electronics diversions too!
Yesterday one of my stereo amps quit working after doing a demo for my buddy at about 600W per channel. To steal the title of a great music documentary. IT MIGHT GET LOUD! Fortunately, it was only an internal 10A mains fuse since these particular amps are notorious for catastrophic, cascading failures when the output section goes. I run two of these amps as in a bridged mono setup. Usually, I'll just blow the 20A fuse panel for the house which is easy to reset! Check out these power supply capacitors. There are four of them at 47,000 uF. 7oz mini Mountain Dew for relative size comparison. Spoke - You're killing me what is it??? |
