Wow! Seems like a great deal for an 'original' with that type of pedigree. Won't last long. GLWTS

If this car sells for the asking price, someone is getting a good deal. This is priced low enough to flip

For the asking price, we are interested and will keep her safe. That said, IMO this type of car would sell well on BAT... probably 17-19K.
If you need someone to keep her safe give me a PM, but if you want the extra $5K you should consider BAT. Cheers |

I agree that was under priced for sure. The new owner got one hell of a buy and car. I understand the seller caring more about the home it goes to than the money he gets though. Hopefully the buyer will not turn out to be a flipper.

I bought the car. Not a flipper. The intention is to pass the car on to one of our children. We have 2 Porsches (well, 3 right now but one will be for sale soon) and hope to let the kids fight over them a long time from now.
My wife worked for the 2nd owner, John many years ago. We knew the car and some of his history with it. We are Redwood Region members, although we don't participate much. I expect that may change with the purchase of this car. I really never thought it would be available and when I saw the ad yesterday I replied immediately then texted my wife. She was excited at the opportunity. John is a great guy and very meticulous, it is a privilege to own this car. I don't know Bob the current owner (except through our conversation) but he also sounds like a great guy and I look forward to meeting him this weekend. My wife says It might be time to make the garage a little nicer. I'm on cloud 9. Bob |

Thanks for the kind words. I sure think it did! And of course the previous owners have driving privileges. John only lives .5 miles away, Bob a bit further. The Green Machine will be well cared for and I would like to show it occasionally, but that is a whole new world for me. Bob |
