Any guesses on the color? It is an official Porsche color.

I'm guessing Sunflower Yellow. It doesn't look quite bright enough to be Saturn Yellow.

No and no.

Looking sharp there Bob. Like the color change from red to yellow. Can't wait until you start to assemble.

Will you be making some upgrades for auto crossing, etc?

Thanks, Doug. Only subtle mods planned (for now). I am trying to stay true to my stockish rebuild. Sort of.

BTW, the color on the photos after uploading does not look true. Try this.

Sunflower yellow. That's what I had planned on painting my car. Looks great.

You guys are getting closer, but still not right. The tint on the adjusted photo I posted might be just a bit too golden.

Almost done with the parts on the table. I took the throttle body apart to inspect and clean.

Everything looks pretty good. Not much play of the shaft in the bore, and the switch plate has some mild wear but looks OK.

Nice progress and great documentation! Hi Bob (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wavey.gif) I'm just putting 2 and 2 together now. We didn't get to meet at the Moorman's during RRC. Apologies for that. Perhaps my wife and I will be back down in Durango soon or in the spring and we can remedy that and I can see your progress first hand.

Hi, Mike. I am sorry too. We got caught up in a few conversations before we could meet everyone. Let me know if you head this way again. And I hope to have my 914 running in time for next September.

The big day! I know some of you have lived this before. Picking up the freshly painted car at the shop is a very satisfying milestone.

Also very satisfying to have great friends to help. We used the same method as back in July, with the car strapped to the dolly, rolled onto the trailer, then a wooden cradle supporting the longitudinals, and the cradle sitting on jack stands.

Unloading at home. Many thanks to Mike (aka Kansas914) and Chuck.

BTW, the uploading process to 914 World really distorts the color tint.
