I searched for this topic, but didn’t find many related posts. I will be replacing my front ball joints this winter, and was wondering if it it worth spending the extra $$ on de-cambered ball joints. I do plan on participating in DE days, but otherwise, will just be enjoying spirited carving of regular roads. Looking forward to hearing your opinions.

It really depends on how far you want to take it. Evan and I have decambered ball joints and monoball camber plates that get us to where we need to be. This is for a competitive autocross car on Hoosier A7s. I can say with as much camber and toe-out that I run the car is super nervous on the freeway.

We've done that. It's not really being cheap, it modifies the geometry without having to buy special ball joints.

We've done that. It's not really being cheap, it modifies the geometry without having to buy special ball joints.

in vintage its cheeting, or was... there is a thread here somewhere with a few example of how its done..

Thanks for all the info. BTW, the RSR de-cambered ball joints are priced per pair at $350. A pair of OEM from Pelican Parts are $280. My main question was whether it would be worth spending the extra on the de-cambered ones. At this point, I think I will just stick with stock.
