At Luft 10 Universal Studios Jeff was on the team at Luft who choose the cobblestone street / European scene area for #40 display placement. He noted #40 in his autograph (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That big engine Ferrari only beat your 914-6 GT by 20 laps.

And your GT beat both the Solar productions 908/2 camera car and the top finishing 911 S by 3 laps.

And they still had the nerve to call the 914 a NARP. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif)

Speaking of NARPs...in 2010 when the Porsche/ Cayenne powered Riley crossed the Daytona 24h finish line P1 overall, none of the Normal factory brass quite knew what to do. Yes the crowd waved their trinket Porsche flags, but after the Brumos (flat 6 powered) Riley didn't take home the gold there was a P/R disconnect. Who'd a thunk a 5L Cayenne SUV powered prototype would even Podium Finish...it's a darn NARP. Ben Lozano (LBP co.) saved the day and took to the microphone for his 'Informative speech + Rolex Trophy acceptance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Prototype for the venting of the GT fill-cap, using a bronze-mesh style mini breather. I mounted at the highest point, and sits in the top of the tank (slosh) balance tube. I might take this another step and set up an activated charcoal canister to further capture any vented fumes. Unfortunately when we closed the deal on #40, there was nothing at the top of the 100 Liter gt tank...seller just says "Because racecar"

#40 met up with my black six at the 1995'ish Pomona Fairgrounds for the PCA tribute to Vasek Polak road race; photo by my bud Scott.
In 2015, we met at RR5 in Laguna Seca and he gave me a few pics from that day in Pomona !

Hey Marty, can I request that you post some dimensions (length/width) and location (distance from either the floor or rear window) of the firewall access panel? Going to try to replicate it in my 6 conversion.

@troth the measurements will be as looking Aft' from within the 914 cabin.
This picture shows the basic layout, dark gray felt material, and the 4) sheet metal screws holding the metal plate (8" Height / 7½" Width) in place. Your firewall cutout should be smaller, in order to leave a metal edge where the fasteners will secure to.
Your Center Line is established as Center of targa window. The 10½" distance = bottom of where the window sits on the metal 'Step of interior bodywork>> to the Top of metal plate location...next diagram.
