Is the rear targa top seal fuzzy designed to rest on top of the side and rear aluminum trim?

I decided not to install the roll bar vinyl, so am a little concerned I might scratch the paint with the seal mounting screws.

I also noticed a fair amount of targa top flexing while test fitting. Is the top designed to be a "spring" so there is tension against the hold down mechanism?

The fuzzy sits on the aluminum bar on the back and the side strips. Not any painted surface. You can see some wear on both surfaces. There is some tension against the rubber blocks on the roof where the hook catches. This is where you could have an issue.
