Damn. I googled the part number and found Rose Passion is getting $384.27 for those VAT included! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) And that might be in Euros at that. Why so much?

They are NLA everywhere, George is probably looking to re-machine them and sell them back to us. On the one hand it might be an awesome gesture, on the other hand let's wait for the re-manufactured price.

I dont see any need to remachine these. It is not that complicated part that could be remade.

yes we are having them made. NLA from Porsche and NLA used. Please do not confuse them with the early variety, as those are plentiful and as well used on 911 912 models 65-86. We have a very good guy to do it, and when done , they will be very inexpensive as they should be

When i replaced the linkage on my vanagon i noticed it uses a very similar part, though the set screw is 90deg rotated from the 914 part. I will have to look at my old one and compare dimensions.

These are also being made in billet currently as well, looks like a fairly cheap part to repro.

Are they cast or CNC?

Those gowesty vancafe items are rather expensive projects.

On the core heads, removed from the shaft?

Those are similar but look longer. I am making a few by starting with the shift part for the rail shift and welding on a 10mm extension.

The Vanagon world is a surprisingly pricy one.
