'74 2.0 stock

I have the engine back together and there is this part (num: 039117187) left over.....UGH -- PART # 5

Can I get this part installed with the fan shroud on? If the part is NOT installed what will happen?????

I took the engine out to fix oil leaks - I am not giving up, I will strip the entire thing down again (GULP) if this part will protect me from leaks!

Can someone show a picture as to where it goes?????

Thank you,

The outside bracket has a welded arm on the top. This loose piece goes at the bottom and further braces the oil cooler. Only installed on the 2.0 engines that I know of.

After writing this I figured it out - here is a map of the parts installation

And the part installed - had to bend the tin a bit to get it in place.
