Nice build! With Bigkat as a co-conspirator, you're in good hands. Can you please share the source for the hood vent; i.e. source, part number, steel or aluminum? Thanks, Andys |

Maybe I missed it, but what were your decision factors for pulling out the Subaru and going with the V8?

Maybe I missed it, but what were your decision factors for pulling out the Subaru and going with the V8? it sat for 4-5 years while I got relo'd and I had some kind of issue making it not run right. Turbo piping, intercooler water system and that bug.. We had done ls swaps to my truck and bob's 914.. overall it was a known and I ran out of patience. bought a new house, moved the car in threw out the old and moved on. I stilllike the suby and the lighter weight... fickle!!! |

The patina is awesome. Take care of your fingers. They cannot be replaced. How many were damaged?

The patina is awesome. Take care of your fingers. They cannot be replaced. How many were damaged? lost part of thumb due to lack of blood flow. got all the ligaments and nerves.. slowly getting movement and feeling back.. goal is to be able to hold a golf club or my steering wheel so i can still shift. Sometimes it looks like I have tourettes as the nerves intermittently fire.. brief flash of pain... grocery shopping always fun as people look at me a bit strange!!! Finally got the car moving... Took it off to tuning.. 325 at rear wheels..
Now going through and fixing all the ugh ohs that I find from 18 years of building and various levels of skills. On my third pressure switch for brake lights!!! finally figured out how to test before new one goes in. Bunch of little electrical issues.. I pulled a bunch of the looming re-doing things. Of course with the hand looming is a time consuming process! Also nut and bolting make sure everything is tight and out of the way. Had to replace the boxster tranny, issues going into reverse. We are going to see what we might be able to do to fix???? Now thats it on the ground after all these years I need a hard hat!! I keep running my head into the open hood!! Got to take it around the block a few times!! lots of fun. |

Very impressive end result.... Rather menacing looking vehicle for sure (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) and obviously enough power to back up the looks. Would like to see a video of it running/driving if you get a chance... Congratulations!
