I want to thank everyone for making my wife, son Matt914 and myself welcome. It's been about 20 years since we went to a ramble and I had forgotten how much fun it was. It won't be 20 years again and it will be in a teener next time. I am not a big fan of jerk sauce on anything but I had to tell Len that was the very best jerk chicken I have ever had. He then informed me he forgot the jerk sauce and they got something at WalMart?

Sorry to add this so late, but end of month for me is a crazy time, so this will be my wrap on this. Damn, Linda and I had a good time. I'm sure I speak for Dave and Bob in saying thank you for all the attendees for coming and our sponsors as Bob posted. And thanks to Ed M. for the perfect name tags. We have a great group, even with Ralph, Tony A, and Mark Epstein being there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

My favorite moment - Well 2 actually....One was the video of all you guys coming down Hawk's Nest. Fantastic and please excuse my audible exuberance.

The second was Bob Hill emulating Pat Sajak during the tricky tray, using the bullhorn like veteran urban protester. That's your job for life. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

A couple of hiccups along the way was the pool being closed (sent a nasty letter to corporate) and our police escort (I couldn't wait any longer with pm storms coming in) , but nobody got lost or broke down, which was the best news of all.

We three have been kicking around some ideas for next year and some were mentioned by a few at the gathering. Looking at a map, the heart of the northeast is about where we've had it, in PA, but I'm a bit reluctant to have it in that location again. We have discussed SW Mass or western Connecticut, as they have some great roads. I must admit I'm leaning towards the Wildwood/Cape May area with perhaps a few laps around NJ Motorsports track. The drawback is the roads aren't as curvy and with few elevation changes. Other than that, the area is ideal in that you can extend your stay beyond the weekend to make it a mini-vacation.

If you have another idea or if you're for or against the suggestions I've made, PM me or Bob or Dave. Really good seeing you guys.

Outstanding event and effort by you guys, can't thank you enough for pulling it together. Thanks to all for making my buddy Aman feel welcome, it was his first time at an event like this since he lost his sight a year ago. I don't think he walked into anyone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Best part was I did not need to borrow Rory's towel to lay on and I did not have to endure Rory and Dave heckling me while elbow deep in gas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It always so much fun getting together with the 914 crew and it was a pleasure meeting all the new folks who came out for the 1st time - hope to see you again soon.

I'm still in amazement about how lucky we got with the weather. Sure, we had a couple of showers, but you pull up the doppler and see nothing but red all around you...thats pretty damn good. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Saturday during dinner, the front desk clerk came out to let Len & I know that we were about to get owned by a monster storm. Len told her "we'll be OK" and we were. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)
