OKTEENERFEST 2021
Sept 23-26 in Pigeon Forge TN
Attached Image

From daily drivers and outlaws to garage queens and concours winners, all 914s are welcome at Okteenerfest! Make plans now to join other 914 owners for some fantastic driving, plenty of socializing, a bit of showing off, and a truckload of give-aways. What's that? You say your 914 is on jack stands? No worries. Plan to attend anyway as there is always an empty seat available. You won't be disappointed.

Okteenerfest returns to its roots in the Smokies of east Tennessee and will be held in “action packed” Pigeon Forge. This year's route features the world famous Dragon and its 318 curves in 11 miles. As usual, the day drive includes not only a ton of twisties, sweepers, and ear-popping elevation changes but plenty of stopping points to get out, stretch, and enjoy the scenic splendor of the mountains. The lunch stop this year will be TBD.

In addition to the driving, Okteenerfest features plenty of good eating, an awards ceremony, tons of give-aways from some very generous vendors, a Peoples Choice Car Show, and some of the nicest people you will ever meet gathered in a single place.

If you have not been to an Okteenerfest in the past, mark this one on your calendar. In 2019, over 150 people attended representing 60+ 914s making Okteenerfest the largest 914 gathering in the U.S. in recent history! If recent car events around the area are any indication, this year's Okteenerfest should top those numbers!

The fun begins Thursday afternoon with event check-in. Watch and be amazed as fellow teeners arrive and the parking area fills up with a kaleidoscope of colors. Meet up with friends new and old to catch up on what's been going on the past couple years!

Thursday evening will feature a short “sunset drive” to experience the beauty of the Smokies.

Friday begins early with the “main event” - a drive on the area's fantastic mountain roads. With planned rest and lunch stops along the way, the daylong drive is a 914 lover's utopia.

After the drive, attendees have Friday evening free to do as they wish. Many will gather to eat dinner and then later hang out and socialize. With the event based in Pigeon Forge, there is PLENTY to see and do.

Saturday begins with a People's Choice Car Show followed by a “free” afternoon to go for a drive, shop the many outlet stores, or enjoy some of the many attractions found along the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. A swap meet is being considered if enough interest is shown. During the afternoon, the event promoters will be busy preparing for the evening's Awards Banquet where upwards of $10k worth of “goodies” are given out thanks to our generous sponsors.

Sunday morning will bring the sounds of 914s rambling out of the parking lot as the event ends and attendees head home.

What more could you ask for? Mark your calendars and be sure to join other 914 owners for some fantastic driving, plenty of socializing, a bit of showing off, and a truckload of give-aways in a unique setting that you won’t want to miss.

Your $85 Registration Fee includes:

• Thursday evening “sunset drive”
• Goodie bag with some GREAT swag!
• Friday Driving Tour on some of the best roads in the country!
• Saturday entry to Peoples Choice Car Show & Swap Meet
• 914 Tech Quiz entry
• Tech Sessions throughout the weekend
• Saturday evening awards banquet dinner
• Chance to win some great trophies
• Tickets for a chance to win some AWESOME door prizes from some great vendors
• Event T-Shirt
• Lifetime of memories, meeting new friends, and a chance to bond with your 914

This post needs a big sticky to keep it current! :headbanger:For some of you coming through KY from the north, I have several suggestions about alternate scenic routes other than spending significant time on I-75 S. We might also organize a back country road convoy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I am going to try and squeeze this in, i hate to miss it of course. We have a wedding in October so time off is an issue, but, going to make an effort, that is, of course if the motor is fixed and back in the car by then......

The Music Road Resort Hotel appears to be a 1st class facility, lots of areas of interest for us to gather while not driving. The pools are huge and have much dry space for gatherings for swapping lies and consuming adult beverages in the evenings. I'll be making my reservations soon! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Reservation made!

I LOVE this. I have plenty of money and a running car. In a couple of weeks I get to do The Route 66 and I drool everytime I hear about The Red Rock Classic. But this event will cross off a bucket list item for me. The Tail. I'll be in a mid engined Porsche just not a 914, I'll be in the GT4. This means I finally get to meet a hole bunch of my old friends. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

You're going to LOVE the Dragon! And I guarantee, you'll be back to drive it in your 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Bump to remind that registration is now open. When answering how many Okteenerfests I had attended I discovered Steve hadn't allowed a check box for the 2010 event, which may have been the first? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
