We got the engine and transmission installed over the weekend and we shipped the car off to the mechanics yesterday.
Since this is my first 914 build, I wanted someone who is experienced with them to go over everything, finish some of the wiring, prep the motor for the first time run, things like that.
We started this journey in 2016 and it's very exciting to get to the point.
As I mentioned in my post in the "what did you do to your 914 today" thread, THANK YOU to everyone who helped me over the past few years. Advice, parts, technical discussion, etc.... We wouldn't be this far along if it wasn't for this community and everyone's willingness to help.
I've attached a couple of pictures, one from 2016 when I first got the car and one from yesterday on the flat bed. We still have a lot of work to do, putting the glass back in, the interior back in, adjusting the suspension and fitting the Fuchs that are being restored at the moment back on the car.
Thanks again!
Mike
