Hey all,
I rebuilt my MPS last year with the tangerine kit. I fought getting the case to stop leaking after the rebuild as I've seen a few others have this issue too. I used grease on the gasket which seemed to do the trick...that lasted about a year and now yet again I have the case leak. Anyone figure out a permeant solution to this? I am wondering if I can RTV or something to seal the bastard shut. In theory it won't need to be disassembled for a long time. Let me know what you guys think! -R p.s. I've checked the vacuum and hoses to make sure they aren't the culprit. I also checked a used MPS I bought on ebay with the same vacuum setup and it holds steady at 15". Definitely the case 1/2 seal. |

Are you running a properly working Decell Valve with your D-jet setup?

They can leak at several locations:
At the diaphragm perimeter gasket At both center diaphragm screws At the diaphragm to center fixture perimeter At the case halves At the electrical plug perimeter and contacts At the rear check valve At the hose to case connection If you try to fix all these and the leak persists them it’s a defective core. |
