Sketchy and missing paperwork is a real nightmare in CA.

I went through this once and it was expensive and time consuming to sort out.

It could easily add 10-15% to the cost of the car to get sorted, and that is if everything is legit to start with.

Just a FYI to any potential CA buyers since I learned the hard way.

Steve, bummed it didn't work out. Have a soft spot for stock/early 914's as well.

You did the right thing. Sometimes the best money spent is the money you didn't spend.
