Still looking Kevin. The one I had lined up got Shit in his Neck. Generally speaking, painters are odd, weird, moody or high. I've not seen many normal personalities in that trade. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Thought this day would never get here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Off to the painter and time to get started on recovering the seats.

Yay! That's a good day, even better when you see color back on your 914.

Your story hits home with me. Took 9 months and 2 shops before my 914 was painted.

It'll be worth it. I remember how excited and pleased I was when I picked my 914 up from paint. It looked so good! (still does)

Flat towed to/from paint shop which worked very well. Similar to you, pulled doors, lids, painted trunks, door jams etc. Really turned out nice.

Nice! Light Ivory is such a great color, especially on a later car. Can't wait to see it Kent! BTW the seats are pretty easy to redo. Lay the new (nauga) hydes in the sun beforehand if you can. Makes them pliable but not hot enough to overstretch.

That looks great. I'm a little nervous about chipping the new paint if I flat tow it home. I can wrap it with the plastic stretch wrap if that won't hurt new paint. I have a bra for it but I'm not sure about that either. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

That's a great tip Chris! I'll give that a try. We have plenty of sunshine here in SoCal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I told them they could have it 2-4 weeks since I'm so far behind on other work. Today I was finally able to get the '70 on the rack and rebuild the slave cylinder that went south 5 weeks ago. So now I have one driver. Tomorrow I need to start the 5 lug conversion front and rear and the AC leak in the 73. Oh yeah, I need to recover the seats out of the 76 while it's away. My dance card is pretty full. Some where along the line I told Eddie I'd rebuild his trans too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

She is finally in paint. What I thought would take about 3 months took 19. Hmm, I'd better not quit my day job. Anyway I'm happy with the way it turned out and the lines look pretty good too. There won't be much to post until I get her fully dressed. that could be another 2 years at the rate I work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

A couple more. The wife is already hounding me to keep this one. She was fine with me selling it until she got a look at it today. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

This looks worse than it is. Once the door seal is in I'll line it up if it still needs it.
