Fancy stuff!! The R5 is pretty cool. Particularly in having the controller onboard to use the NTK O2 sensors and the onboard Wifi.

The focus shifts to getting the various systems installed so I can get this thing running.

Getting ready to service the engine and I couldn't resist setting up the entire exhaust for some glamour shots. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out. I wish there was a way to see this whole thing when it's in the car.

Have you seen this build? Sam Albert Rally on YouTube? He put a Ferrari motor in his Subaru Rally Car. There are videos where hi figured out the electronics to get it running.
I hope your car sounds as good. I enjoy watching your progress.

Nice work. The exhaust is a true work of art.

You are going to need a disconnect between the engine wiring and the chassis, unless you want to disconnect every connection on the engine before removing it for service.

I am using a 47 pin connector from Maven Performance. It is really nice and makes for a tidy way to disconnect the engine wiring.

@ClayPerrine Hi Clay - Yep, I used the same sort of approach on my LS build. This time, I'll probably go with multiple connectors. The ECU I'm running has built in power management capabilities so I need to pass a couple 20 amp circuits through one of the connectors.

Agree! Keep it looking that great forever. Passivation is usually pretty inexpensive. The best shops do food processing or aerospace work.

Another week gone, a bit more progress. And stuff is about to get real as I prep to start the wiring.

@nivekdodge - That does look nice, what with the adjustable arm. I have a growing list of tools and machines I'm looking at so this sort of thing will be taking a back seat for a while. But thanks for the heads up!

Better tool and a really good price here.

I have one of the milwaukee grinders and it shuts down in overheat mode is you even think about bearing down; then its 3-5 minutes to wait for it to cool - rinse and repeat until you fling it across the room. You could cut a car in half with the Makita in one go.

My meaning was more of the tool concept than make or model. I have a air powered 3M and even taking spot weld out it's unbelievable
