does anyone have a brand recommendation that is for at home use?
might be worth a try on my beater

Avalon King - Armor Shield

https://avalonking.com/

Great Result and easy application!

Here are the results from several cars that I’ve worked on. FWIW, only use wax as a top coat to extend the life of the ceramic coat!

That's what I've heard...Avalon King for a DIY home detailer.
The stuff and support from Larry at AmmoNYC is good too, he has a ceramic as well as a higher solids version for wheels/suspension etc.

You can always add wax on-top like 914_7T3 said for extra protection and gloss.

Also, as mentioned earlier, the new Turtle Wax products are VERY good for the price.

I used this Chemical Guys ceramic coating on my original paint 1986.5 928 and it was after I clay bar the car.

All I can say is it goes on super easy and buffs of super easy. Great shine and I hardly drive the shark I can not say how long it will last as I never wash my car just dust it off with a California red duster.

The stuff I used is in the review up top. I think, for me this stuff is better than wax to get the shine on my car. Goes on easy and buffs off like it is hardly there
