I spent some time and stripped the pain on the original steel wheels and repainted them.
I finally finished up last night and got out for a quick spin.

What do you think?

I like steelies but the chrome caps remind me too much of a vw beetle. It’s my problem, not yours. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

@jrblackbox
I do like the look of the non-capped steels. Any bigger photos of your car? Also, what do you think about the front end? Drop a little? I tend to agree.

That look is what drew me to 914s over 40 years ago. Raw, simplistic, uncluttered, no-nonsense fun. Makes my heart pound even now, I find it refreshing.

Those wheels look great. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) Really love the profile pic. Not everyone seems to be a fan of luggage racks, but it really adds a nice extra touch to the classy look of the car.

Looks great. What was your process for refinishing them? What paint did you use?
