Looking for a recommendation for pressure bleeder that adapts to our reservoirs. Been bleeding the brakes via gravity and pedal pumping forever; maybe a pressure bleeder is in order now.
Thanks, Jim |

I went through what you described and got the motive bleeder... Then kicked myself for not doing it sooner

Motive, they make a European car version, also more expensive but better design is the quick connect version.

European car version on order. Mr. Bezos is supposed to deliver it tomorrow!
Isn't the reservoir vent a simple small hole in the cap? I'm thinking that bleeder replaces the cap and pushes fluid into the reservoir. Am I missing something? |

Early car vs late car. Early car has a nipple that leads a plastic line as a vent and drains out the bottom of the car, in the fantasy of the engineers, but in reality leaks all over the paint and causes rust in the frunk.
You have to plug it or you drive fluid right out of it under pressure or cant pressurize.. European car version on order. Mr. Bezos is supposed to deliver it tomorrow! My one gripe about Motive is that they don't make a cap to fit common early 90s Japanese cars like my Nissan which is in desperate need of a power bleed. Works great the my 914 though.

Yes, and when you’re an “expert” bleeder, cause you can do it in 20 min with this thing, you’ll forget to plug it, wonder why the bottle isn’t pressurizing as you continue to pump harder, then remember as the pool of your nice expensive can of Motoul or ate 200 spreads across your garage floor…. Heheh BTDT… (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif) |
