I paid $4500 for an okay paint job. If I could do it again I think I would have been better off paying more for a good one, feels bad putting that much money down for just okay

take it to a local Vocational school that teaches automotive repair.

Rattle can party? I'm in... A guy brought his half finished 914 to Okteenerfest this year. He used Rustoleum rattle cans and the paint job was incredibly good! He must have color sanded and buffed for hours. Ask anyone that was there how good it looked. Sorry, I have no photos but the Okteenerfest thread probably does. It’s a good paint job. It’s an amazing ratttle can paint job. Here it is… Cool interpretation. Gotta respect the vision, dedication, and work. |

The only thing if you are painting 2 stage clear coat is to be sure to wear a fresh air respirator like Hobby air. The urethane is nasty stuff!

All paint shops now are collision centers. I would expand you search to include tow shops that have a booth. Also try the trucking repair guys.
