Not reinventing the wheel here, but this turned out to be way easier than I expected so figure I'd post it.

I basically copied Elephant Racing's install method but used a pipe clamp instead.

So no need to put a hole in the end of the control arm, and no need to clamp the a-arm to a bench or put it in a vice to hold it steady - I kept everything aligned by holding the control arm and pipe below it with one hand and tightened the clamp with my other hand, and the bushings easily slid straight on.

Only tools used were the pipe clamp (cast iron pipe and Bessey clamp available at Lowes/Home Depot for $25ish), 914 rubber's install tool (included with my bushings), and dish soap.

Great idea, I will be doing mine this winter. How difficult to remove the old ones? Did you use stock bushings?

TIA

It can really vary in difficulty depending on what bushings you use. Different brands will make a difference. What brand bushing did you use?

@930cabman @mepstein I used 914rubber bushings. They're wider diameter than the mounts, but all it took to push them in was some liquid soap and my hands. And then pushing them onto the control arms didn't take that much force twisting the pipe clamp with my hand.

Removing the old ones was easy enough, I just blowtorched them until they were smoking and then twisted them off.
