I'm at the Shilo. I'll see you all when you get back. I didn't book a room & everything seems to be sold out. If anyone has an open bed. I'd be up for splitting a room. Otherwise I'll run up to Redmond for a spot. Everything in bend is pretty well booked.

Had a couple of hiccups on the trip west. I lost the oil tank cover. Set it somewhere while checking the oil. Probably in Montana. Plastic bag and some wire. Took in clutch cable stretch in Ritzville WA. Gotta go to eleven to do that because of the 7 mm threaded end. That made the shift to first and R crisper.
Then around Umatilla I started loosing gears. Stopped at a little turn out, found rocks to chock the wheels and got the car onto jack stands. Crawled under and got a half pint of warm tranny oil on my stylish middle. It came out of the rear shift linkage cover. The side shift console had started to come loose. The cover was completely full of oil. Tightened that up (nut was in the. Cover still) but was left with a mostly empty transmission. Put in two quarts of Mobil 1 10w 30, which was all that I had. Drained that out at the motel and replaced with real gear oil. I h ope the hundred miles with the wrong oil didn’t do much damage.

At one of the stops on Saturday, I lost a work glove from my tool bag. Donna picked it up and gave it to the passenger in the orange 914 ahead of me. I figured no big deal, I'll get it at the next stop, but the way the day played out I never saw them again.

A glove is not a big deal, but I hate wasting resources so if you have it I would appreciate it if you will let me know so I can get it back.
