We just got home to Durango. Of course, no 914 weekend would be complete without a little (or big) hiccup. We left the hotel this morning and drove to the storage yard to load on my trailer. Once ready I tried to start the 914 but no fuel pump. (I have un updated pump, mounted up front, and powered by an extended lead I created when I rebuilt the wire harness.)

I checked the pump fuse and the fuses on my Megasquirt board and all looked OK. I wiggled connecters and tried cursing at the car. No luck. First time I was REALLY happy that I installed a winch on the trailer.

All the way home I was thinking how I would get the 914 uphill into my garage, with a complicated uphill driveway. But when I turned the key the fuel pump did its pump thing, and the car drove itself into the garage. Now I have to worry about a temporary gremlin.

Anyway, our BIG THANKS to Sharon, Mike, and Eric, and all the other organizers. And thanks to everyone for welcoming us into the club.

Bob and Shirlee

Hey, I promised somebody a photo of the SCCA/PCA 914 race car I built in the 90s. Almost, sorta a Lowenbrau look. Eventually it had gold Minilites.

Sorry for having to bail at the last minute.
I still can't get my 914 to run. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Everyone have a wonderful time! I'll be there in spirit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

I think an intervention may be in order.

20th anniversary!!!
So great to see old friends

10th anniversary for me, going back to Eric Lowe's Thursday bbq and a tree hugger sighting! It's been great meeting everyone and (mostly) riding through some beautiful areas while making friends and learning more about the cars. Thanks to Sharon, Erik, and Mike for organizing the drives and the event...never disappointing! And thanks to Warren and James for great passengers seats!

Looks like a great time! I missed it by a day!....as I spent most of last week vacationing up in Scottsbluff, NE until Wednesday, when I had to then fly a puddle-jumper to Denver, than off to SF last Wednesday night.

Maybe next year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

Hey guys, thinking about next year.
If the 2025 RR location is about the same latitude as it was this year, several of us including myself in New Mexico would love to attend.
