Other 911 owners have had issues with oil filters that are not oem. Beware of knock offs!

I would like to think the major manufacturers would have QC in place when they move operations to other countries, maybe not.

I'm going with this one in the future: https://www.napaonline.com/en/search?text=n...&referer=v2

Still can't believe I got a bad one that would not allow oil to enter (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Seeing no oil at all in the filter would bug the crap out of me.

Even if the filter was screwed up internally, I would expect SOME oil in it...

Not sure what the problem is but the "no oil at all" would "dead-line" that for me until I understood why.

Me too, this was about an hour of run time on a brand new fresh build, think $$$. I hired the engine build as I have never done a /6 before. Many /4's and V8's and tractors

Had about a tea spoon full.

Looking back, I probably should have known better, being an old guy and I now see the amount of details to do this sort of build.

I will get a pic tomorrow. It appears there is a valve that normally sits at the bottom of the filter, the failed unit has the valve at the top (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I recall years and years ago something similar, but used a roll of toilet tissue. Cannot recall anything + or - with it and have not seen one since

Probably less than serfs, but I wrote an email anyway, not nasty, just matter of fact.

Lets see if they respond

Attached Image No good

Appears some sort of valve has found it's way to the top, and blocks oil flow. Will get a shot of a good one later
