“Other” is the real possibility that one braking circuit has failed - usually a failed master cylinder.

Could be either one. Make sure the parking brake lever switch is opening to break the ground connection first. If it is, then check the MC. Either the switch is bad or the gizmo (a rod with varying diameters that triggers the switch pin) is bad. You can remove the switch with the MC in place (and it will not leak fluid).
