So I seriously F**CKED up my schedule. I’m double booked Flanders weekend. I’m also supposed to take my kids camping and shooting in Virginia.

My plan is to camp in VA Friday, shoot Saturday. Drive back to PA say night and drop off the guns, then head to Flanders Sat night or Sunday early. But there is no way I can get to the 914 day drive Saturday.

I’m seriously furious with myself.

I’ve been on the eastern shore this weekend getting Jons 914 running and we figured out I was double booked chilling in the pool last night. I’m pissed. But it’s totally on me.

Putting finishing touches on everything! Last batch of cookies baking (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) and final arrangements for swag bags done. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
Looks like awesome weather on long range forecast. May have a small crowd of onlookers at the start and maybe other P cars at the Melick’s stop. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
Option at end to return to start or have lunch at Friendly’s.

I'm still grumpy about missing this. But it really wasn't meant to be. Amy was going to try and be there solo in the 914 till my brake master died on Saturday.
Jon won't be there either. He is still chasing electrical gremlins in his 914 and does not have brake lights. He'll be at Flanders in the single cab. He has something grounding out and keeps blowing fuses in the 914.

Ok; if you can stay with us until Flanders at 11:10 or so, then just keep going through as we visit the All Air Cooled Gathering folks. The trip sheet will take you/us back down to Jockey Hollow and Tempe Wick Rd until crosses 202 north of Bernardsville. Just skip the loop through the park. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

You know, I’d love to make this event as it’s my old neighborhood. We moved from Illinois to Morristown in 1962. Went to high school there and we lived there for a year when Sue and I got married in 1975. We moved to Tewksbury in 1979 and lived there till 2000 when we moved to Vermont. Have now retired to down east Maine coast but are 10 hours away from Morristown. All the best to my NNJR friends and my 914 world friends.
