Just had to chase a guy away who without asking was out on our lot opening all of the doors, decklids, and sitting in our customers' 914s! Our dear accountant witnessed the abuse from her office perspective and reported it to us. Pretty bad when someone has no respect for other peoples' property! We deeply respect our customers' cars and take good care of them while they are here for service and restoration, and do not tolerate those who come on the lot and disrespect them. Guy started to say how he owned a 914 years ago etc etc etc, but I did not want to hear it!

"Please leave the premises or I will call the police"

That would be my response

Sad, but I'm sure you know dealing with the public anything goes. Sad

It takes all kinds of people George. Who takes what, I'm not quite sure. Emotionally compromised people are everywhere. I should know.

Call the sheriff if you need some help. Tell them it's an emergency.

In 2018 at Rennsport 6 we brought the project car 9148gtt. Three (odd) folks took a liking to pestering the 914: one gal couldn't get enough of pushing the release button on the drivers side window-net. One gent took a liking to pushing on a dzus fastener attached to the Sheridan body panel; and an overseas show attendee couldn't stop tapping his fingernails on each/ every body panel and asking "Kabonn Fibah Kabonn Fibah ?"

Personally I prefer my German security system. Seems to work best with my German cars.

My son and I watched a woman try to open this cars door then tap on it with her knuckles. This was at the museum with the real car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)
