Recently on a rare occasion I was caught in the rain, I noticed that I did not have two speed wiper function. One click up started the wipers, but the second click up was no change in speed. I do not have the intermittent wipers option, at least there is no bracket and relay installed. The wiper switch seemed well used and since I also needed to replace the turn signal switch I figured to kill two birds. Both switches are installed, but now the wipers operate in the lowest (off) position, turn off in the middle (on) position, and remain off in the uppermost position so I still only one wiper speed. The replacement switch was supposedly for a 1975-1976 914. I can live with it since I do have wipers and never intentionally drive in the rain, but... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)

You mean where the switch plugs into the harness at the base of the steering column cover?

Some of the aftermarket switches had the pins in the wrong spot. Did you verify the wires are in the correct spot? Otherwise you might have to hard wire the wiper motor to make sure its not bad.

Jim, I have both the OEM used and OEM replacement switches that I can take pic's of if you need to check the wiring of your switch.
