“-6 engines come down in prices?“

Bite your tongue. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

In all seriousness, I don’t think they will. Parts and labor is only getting more expensive. Not just the engine parts themselves but all the components that go into building an engine. Shop space, machining, freight, materials, etc.

Probably but I hope someday to see a little more disposable income for those folks wanting to build a 914-6. This seems the unfortunate end to what I consider one of the best -6 products out there. The only one with dual baffling to remove air from the oil

Ben, I was on the fence about taking advantage of this amazing deal and I'm local too so no shipping required. I knew that I will never have an opportunity like this again but it is a want much more than a need. I'm glad that you were able to sell these quickly and now we both off the fence. Best wishes on implementing what lies ahead.

Do you have a set of just the side tins for a six conversion?

I received my tank a few days ago.

Super NICE!

The saddest thing about Ben's work is by the time you have it installed in the car the welds are hidden and cannot be easily seen!

I'm a HUGE believer in ceramic coating for exhaust systems.
Makes them live far longer IMO, less heat into the chassis, and other benefits.

When I saw his "robot like" perfect exhaust welds it was the VERY first time I've ever wondered if they make CLEAR ceramic coating.

I want the improvements from the coating, but I'd prefer his welds be visible...

Thanks Ben!

Cerikote makes a clear. Actually, a half dozen different clears.
Ben once told me he makes the tanks from a high grade aluminum. They should hold up without a coating. But he can say more about it than me.

Ben, will the engine tin come in primer or be shipped within a coating?

Bare and you have to trim and fit as always. They have a light coat of oil on them

Received the engine tin today. For those that have installed these, where did you need to make modifications, if any? Also, powder coat or enamel?
Can’t wait to get the oil tank.

Around the engine cooler and front piece around pressure fed tensioners.

Also I am doing another smaller run of oil tanks as there was some demand and 1 person pre paid for 5 tanks. if anyone wants in let me know.

@zig-n-zag those were close out prices on the last of my inventory of tanks at the last prices I paid for materials. There is a bump this time around for the tanks if your interested I can still do a deal just another $100 more this time
