The lubrication of lead is real
Some motors had to upgrade the valve seats back in the day BMW motorcycles for example switched to hardened valve seats around 1970. It was real Not an issue in a 914 motor But did cause seat problems on some brands in the day |

Is leaded gas or real lead additives available in Sweden for road use? I thought it was illegal everywhere for use in road vehicles... Here in the USA if you want real leaded gas, you either have to by AV gas or specific race only fuel. You won't find leaded fuel, but can buy lead additives in small bottles at the petrol station. The bigger stations at least, since petrol stations nowadays are more convenient stores/restaurants than a place to find car related things. |
