Just out of curiosity...

Anyone know what the original designed-in scrub radius on a stock 914 with 5 1/2J x 15 wheels and 165R15 tires is?

The definitions are out there.

But why do you care? Especially for a street car. It's not like you can do anything about it, especially on a strut suspension. If you want to keep it the same as stock, use stock size wheels (and offsets) and tires.

I made a Lotus Shark model of the stock geometry [while on my way to modifying the geometry]-I should be able to dig it out in the next few days and can output a plot for you.

Wheel offset also affects scrub radius—moving wheel/tire centerline outboard increases scrub radius, while moving wheel/tire centerline inboard decreases scrub radius.

Changing from ARE alloy wheels (slightly less offset than OEM) to factory Pedrinis changed the feel of the car a little bit. A little less agile (“darty”), a little better holding a straight line on bumpy roads.
