I pulled the gas struts off the 914-6. I am taking it back to stock, so I am giving away the gas strut kit that was on it. All the parts, including nuts and bolts are there. The struts are worn out, but they come with it so you should be able to match them to a set from your FLAPS.
If you use this, you have to cut the pinch weld between the engine compartment and the trunk to clear the struts. Clay |

I have those on my car. Best thing since sliced bread. Eliminates that god-awful and dangerous torsion bar system. EVERYONE should use them! And contrary to popular belief, they do not get in the way when storing the targa top.

And the do get in the way of storing the top. But it's your car. You can do whatever you want to it. |

I have the same and no problems except the OG inserts were too damned strong. One cartridge was enough to do the job so I 86'd those and ordered inserts that were 1/2 as strong and it works like a charm. TBH, I needed these since my torsion rods were 86'd during the H20conversion. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
