Two years ago for me. Assembly after paint with new SSI hardlines made it an easy choice.
Yeah, good reminder to think just how old are your fuel lines? |

What a coincidence. I had a hose blow out on me just yesterday in the garage. Thank God it was in the garage. What a mess. It is time.

So what is the recommended life of Gates barricade fuel injection hose? According to their documentation, shelf life is 3-5 years so don't buy more than you need. There is no specific info on when lines should be replaced after they've been put into use given the numerous variables. Personally, I wouldn't go longer than 5-7 years. Fuel hose has gotten expensive, but replacing the fuel lines is still a lot cheaper than replacing the whole car. Info from Gates: http://www.innoveng.in/Gates%20Hydraulic%20Catalog.pdf |
