My recently acquired vehicle came with only 1 key... so I bought a spare blank one to use because the original one had seen better days/years.
I was about to get this new blank one cut at the automotive locksmith when I realized that the key only worked for the ignition. On FB, I ran into some scumbag scammer - Jeremy Clarkson Keighley out of the SoFla 914 Owners Group - who had advertised offering a complete set but being that I asked for proof, way to pay, etc. - he ended up deleting his 'profile' and luckily, common sense prevailed. I know we are all exposed to scammers but it is so disappointing to see/hear individuals who knowingly go out of their way to steal your money... I would go to jail if I ever met one of these a-holes in person. So, I am on the hunt for a matching set of a door locks and ignition? The car has a light bar between the tail lights, so I don't need the rear lock. Can someone point out to me where to get having my car use 1 key to lock and start it, please? DM if you have a set and thanks. |
