Best of luck in your search. I’m running that muffler and his heat exchangers on my 914 2.7 twin plug and it sounds wonderful, not exactly quiet but no drone. His sport GT (two in 2 out) was a bit much on my 3.2 and had a drone, but this one is great.

Wow- That is way off from the way it should exit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I sold mine years ago, but the muffler tip was also way off and Ben sent me another one. It was too quiet for me and was too restrictive on my 3.2 compared to the two in two out M&K I have now. The M&K is 10db louder at idle. It supports capping off one side, but you lose some HP when capped. I bought a remote solenoid kit to cap off one side remotely for when the top is off and I don't want the drone. The drone is still way less than the previous triad I was using.
Good luck Michael with your search! |

It might have been made for an early snow plow valance. |

It might have been made for an early snow plow valance. Ben ran this on his 914-6 and believe his rear valance didn't have the cutout for an exhaust tip. The tailpipe had to exit bellow. The only way I could make it exit nicely out a 4cyl valance was to do the mod pictured above. Have no idea if it would line up correctly for a real 914-6 valance. |
