Hey all,

This knob comes close to stock appearance but I don't know if it will fit onto the shift arm. I understand that it's meant for use with a modern leather shift boot; that I don't care about. Would any of you know, based on the list of compatible vehicles, it this would work? I've sent the question to Pelican but have yet to get a reply.

Thanks.

I would call up Pelican and ask. Otherwise it looks like a typical Momo with the 3 allen screws that will leave nice permanent dents on your shifter.

What would be the concern of dents in the shifter? I'm looking to get a knob that will not rotate or come off in my hand. I'm going to try a new crush sleeve but from what I've been reading, the results will be questionable.

I know it's not what you want, but I would get the stock knob fitted with a new crush ring. I did that on my car and it is very tight and does not turn. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

No issues with the dents. Just if you go back to the stock knob, they are a little unsightly. The momo or Rennline covers the screws. I later switched to a rennshift, which has a nice screw on knob.

In fact, that's exactly what I want, if the stock knob but secure. I've got a new crush ring coming...I'll see if it solves the issue. Thanks.

email tech@rennline.com. They can pull the drawing for the unit and confirm the hole size and depth.

FYI, Rennline told me that this shift knob works great on the 914:

I wish it had the shift pattern on it, but I think I'm going to give it a try.
