Anybody know Clint at Rebel Racing Products? I bought rainshields, along with a bunch of suspension improvements that did arrive, from him last year and haven't seen them and he isn't responsive. At wits end and not a little frustrated....

Anyone here able to poke this guy into action?

He was supposed to ship me some sport shocks and adjustable springs but never arrived. Last I talked to him things were not good personally for him. Tarrett sells all of his stuff as well. May try there as they are friends

Otherwise known as fraud . . . Just saying. Notify credit card company, dispute charges.

Not ready to go that route, yet. Will be reaching out next couple days then move more aggressive. Small community and conscious of it.

Basically his life is like a bad lifetime movie. I feel terrible for him. I assure you he doesn’t do things on purpose.

But seriously guys this has been going on with Rebel for a long, long time.

Honestly I don’t care if he’s a crackhead. If he takes money and fulfills orders, fine. On the other hand, I don’t care how noble the intention, if you knowingly take customers money and don’t fulfill orders, that’s theft at best, fraud at worst, and deserving of consequences.

I say this having bought parts from each of you and wouldn’t expect or tolerate Rebel Racing’s behavior from either of you guys . . . And I like you guys (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

If he’s not capable of running his life and a functional business then the honorable thing to do would be to close the business and stop screwing customers.

Bummer to hear. I bought control arm bushings from RR’s website and received the parts quickly. That said, I did send an email with a question and never heard back.
You might check with your bank to see how long you have to make a claim.
Good luck.

Clint is a good guy. It's too bad his business issues get in the way. Unfortunately, it's hard to know if you will get your order and it's really frustrating for everyone. I don't order from him anymore just so I won't get frustrated at a guy that I like.

Like I said, he sent the rest of my order fairly quickly after checking on it and the product is great. I just have this one item outstanding.

Well just got a refund from them
No communication mind you, but did get my money back
Would have preferred the rain shields. They are the cool GT style that would perfectly suit my car. Consider this resolved. Thanks World.

Probably worth not overlooking the fact that in the 914 and even the larger Porsche spaces a lot of times "businesses" are just one guy.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) so much simping for this “business”. Must be a really special guy. What am I missing?

Back in the day people weren’t so accepting of shady business practices and weren’t afraid to call it out.

Does anyone remember when AA was so despised for less egregious business practices? There are still folks here holding that grudge decades upon decades later. Any of my dealings with AA since 2018 have been stellar but I certainly wouldn’t tolerate them not shipping parts for the better part of 1/2 year nor did others back in the day.

As far as 1 man shops goes . . . I’ve dealt with plenty of 1 man shops over the years as well as many of you here (Tangerine/CFR,PMB, MB911, Bdstone914, 914sixer, 914Werke, and countless others) where they repeatedly have shown nothing but the highest integrity. Size has nothing to do with being shady and not communicating with customers.

I totally respect Mepstein’s post about simply not doing business with Rebel to avoid the disappointment. I do the same even though some of his product does look very interesting.

Sorry to continue to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dead horse.gif) but this guy stands in stark contrast to the rest of our vendor community. Please don’t drag our good vendors down by lumping them in with this character.

There are things going on behind the scenes that have a big effect on his business. Really good guy going through a difficult time and possibly just keeping his head above water. Life is complex.

You are both right. Bottom line is i only got to this point after many tries to contact and was ignored. I assume additional back channel contacts were made and I got a resolution. That's great but hated resorting to bashing publicly. If you have issues with getting me something I paid for just let me know. Don't ignore.it is bad for business. I hope he gets things back on track. Would love this thread to be considered finished
