The F*** Cops was added by PMB. It's just an overlay they put on the pic. It's not actually on the roof. I put the important part in bold. It's an obvious Photoshop layer added to the image. You can clearly see that neither the letters nor the graphic follow the contour of the roof. They were added to the image, not the actual roof. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Nah, I'm pretty sure it's there .. guess we're not supposed to believe our lying eyes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

From that picture, I'm wondering what's going on with the rear deck lid on the blue car? Is that more vinyl work? BTW, seems to be a great color. Got any other pics of it?

Good Lord! I hate to have to explain the joke, but we were just having a little fun with Jimmy.
The joke being we "surprised" him by adding a detail to his extra roof that no one in their right might would ever be caught dead driving around with. Especially in UTAH of all places. We were initially not sure if the material he brought in was going to work and we mentioned possibly having to have the checker pattern printed up in different material so when we sent him this picture of it being installed we implied we made a minor design change by way of a 3 minute photoshop effort. At no point did we think he would actually believe we did this. Everyone had a good laugh. Guess you had to be there. Strat has been a close friend of the shop for a long time, we wind up seeing him at least once ever couple weeks. His car not only is a platform for testing his ideas but a lot of ours as well which is the only reason we can joke around with him like this. Its a passion and a hobby, it should be fun. I remember back in the day having a sense of humor was near a requirement for owning a 914 given the majority of comments you would get for owning one. Its getting way to easy to troll you people (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) |

From that picture, I'm wondering what's going on with the rear deck lid on the blue car? Is that more vinyl work? BTW, seems to be a great color. Got any other pics of it? Its an absolutely beautiful car, even nicer in person, one of the nicest I have ever driven. The color is Amazon Green, Porsche used it 91-94. Not a 914 color but I think it works really well on this particular car. One of 3 big bumper cars we have had in in the last couple months(including Strats) that have just been amazing, the 75-76 cars have really been growing on me lately, at least once we have them bumped up to ~150hp. The rear is currently covered in 3 different surface protection materials we were testing the properties of. 2 of the materials themselves have a blue color to them, the one in the middle is opaque white. Similar to what some cars get shipped to dealers covered in. 3" strips there as that was the size of the sample rolls however we have it in widths wide enough to cover the sides of the car in a single pass. |
