914 Folk:

I purchased this cool patch from an old service uniform online (maybe from one of you?) and I think it's pretty cool. I liked the "folk art" kind of Porsche logo; certainly didn't pass any corporate brand standard test. LOL. Shown here on top of an 8.5"x11" sales brochure for scale.

It got me wondering about service uniforms. Were there every any branded VW/Porsche uniforms? Do you suppose this was a custom thing for an individual dealership?

I like the way these logos look together, and it seemed to be in the general vintage of my car, so I wanted to have it. Part of me wants to make a more modern-looking version of this one for a jacket I often wear when I drive.

Anyway, just wanted to share.

Hello Steve,
Nice patch, haven't seen one like it before. I worked at our local Porsche dealer here in Austin during mid-70's, shop uniforms were from local uniform service. Dealer name patches were added. Attached Image These jackets by Crown of California were sold through the parts department and were worn by many of us in the service dept.
Cheers,
Mark
