SPECIAL ORDER?

I sent a note out to Cip1 on just the replacement front vented rotor/hubs and they're willing to look into a 'special order' - but want to know how many and which ones specifically (4x130 and/or 5x130)... Anyone here interested?

There's not a price established yet, they wouldn't answer that until I locked down details. So I thought I'd take a head count if anybody was interested in them, either the vented 4x130 or 5x130, LMK.

We can do a group buy if interested. We've been a CSP dealer for a while now.

i dont believe any Boxster came equipped with 15" wheels?

And that matters because?

I have Boxster calipers front and rear and they clear my 15x7 cookie cutter wheels.

You probably run a spacer to fill out those flares. i know 15in fuchs (5 lug) have a 2 step inner rim shoulders that interfere with the edge of the caliper. I forget what the backs of cookies look like, but sometimes big brakes can fit as long as you have the room to space the wheel out to clear the inner rim shoulder.

It's been years, someone made 4 lug hubs that used 911 rotors. Can't remember who.

Muller designed them. I bought an early pair from Brad.

Then I bought the take off s from Jim…: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) With the aluminum Brembo brakes from Eric at PMB the car has more stopping power than I would ever need in a 914.

With Mike’s permission, it would be nice to take measurements so it could be replicated.

In searching the internet, I stumbled across this:

https://www.csp-shop.com/en/wheels-brakes/c...30a-15859a.html

This is a kit to convert a Super Beetle to big vented rotor brakes using Boxster calipers.

Why can't we use it for a 914 owner that wants to keep the 4 lug wheels? The 914 uses the same wheel bearings and seals as the Super Beetle, so it should be a bolt on kit.

Imagine a narrow body 914 with 4 lug Fuchs and a six. Or a Subie motor. Or a V-8.

What do y'all think???

The Willwood brake kit is cheaper at $1620 from Summit Racing and from Jegs.

Do a search on Hubs and Mueller; there’s good info on page 7
I tried pasting a link, but it wouldn’t work ???

Also interested in the Willwood setup. It looks like a true “bolt on”. I see PMB sells them so hopefully Eric can weigh in on if this is a good option. Want to be able to clear 15” steel wheels

Like positive (engine) horsepower, I don't think there is ever "enough" negative (brake) horsepower.
