195/65/15 Stock Fuchs. Turning radius restricted. Just parking, and U-turns. Would a 1/2" wheel spacer help?

What are your camber and caster settings?

Got no clue. The front wheels look straight up perpendicular to the ground. It doesn't look like much negative camber when the car is on the ground. The car is on jack stands in these pictures.
The car handles stable at high speed. I will look into the alignment as a possible cause. Thanks. It's not a big deal, I just remember the car I had in the 80s had a tighter turning circle. My Grand Cherokee turns tighter.

I'd think a 195/65 sounds a little tall. Stock size is much thinner than a 195 and the cars I've seen only run a 55 or 60 in a 195. I'm not sure about stock wheels and tires, only what I'm seeing...I've got 17s.

That is good to know. I may have too much positive caster.

The car came with 205/70/15, I didn't know that size would fit. They had plenty of tread but I got rid of them when I looked up the date code.

After considering the questions posed by @bkrantz , I am now thinking I have a little too much caster. In my 15 minutes of research, having too much caster has some benefits I may not want to do without.

Seeing your post about too much caster, that may be why I see so many running a smaller size...the guys I know run the in the full caster position.

Smaller sidewalls will also give you quicker response...

I’ve ran 195x65x15 with 2.0 Fuchs on quite a few 914’s without tire rub. Also 205x60x15. You should be able to set it up so no rubbing occurs.
Currently I have 205x60x15 on 6” cookies without tire rub. Nothing special was done to make everything fit.

Are you saying in a parking situation super tight turn or are you talking about general turning on the road or a Right turn?

I used these on my 6

By the way PMB can fix you up with this

That doesn't look right.

Does your car show any signs of ever being hit in the front?
Are both inner fenders smooth inside the front trunk? Or do they show signs of buckling?

Just parking, and U-turns. I don't think I want to limit my steering range. I will need to think about this for a bit. I may back off of the caster some. I may try a small wheel spacer. Not sure.

Everything looks smooth and straight. I'm adding a picture of the strut tower for an alignment reference.

Strut tower for vague alignment reference.
It looks like I have 0 front camber by looking at the wheel angle to the road.
It looks like I have a good bit of positive caster.

The good news, your fenders look fine.

However, what the heck is going on with your suspension? The top rubber is completely whacked on both sides.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Do you have the car jacked up in the air on both sides with the suspension hanging freely?
