You can double check by sticking a magnet to the inner part of the bushing assuming it it’s there like it appears.

Good to verify it like you are though - sure looks a little wonky in the initial pictures that the guys commented on.

Once you put the washer and but back on verify there is no slop.


You mentioned 185s. What aspect ratio of 185s would you recommend. I currently have 195/65R15 on my wheels currently.

185/70R15 is what I ran on my 1.7L for years and years.

Don’t give up just yet.

Other things to check:

Is the rub you’re having on both sides and about equal on both sides?

Is your steering rack centered? If you count turns to full lock, is it the same whether turning left or right?

I just ordered (2) 10mm spacers and 20 chromed 45mm shank length bolts. It will take a while to get here. About $110 all in. I'm thinking the 45mm will fit the unspaced rear wheels also and I'll get a cosmetic upgrade while I'm at it.
