Recently acquired this one, some are saying it is itself an acquired taste...

Oh, that poor little thing! It desperately needs proper taillights and a better motor (one with an exhaust on it and engine tin, preferably).

I wonder if it would bid HIGHER if you painted or wrapped the taillights black?

Besides those taillights it looks like a good candidate for an "outlaw" type of build.

Good luck with your auction!

Edit:
I do believe you are the single most qualified person I know to actually fix that properly!

I'd bet you have the metal as well...

A while back I was posting photos and stuff about my car and engine build . I stated (wrong that I had titanium rods ) what I recall now was I handed the mechanic a box of new stock rods and he came back and placed one in my hand and an H-beam in the other and the difference was dramatic ,the cost seemed worth it and hopefully gave me a bit more performance . I believe they must have been chromemoly.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) who does something like that. Imagine the time and money that went into creating that. Yet, still doesn’t have the dignity to finish it, drive it in public, and be righteously mocked for having done that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

Well that floor pan looks good, hope most of the body is low on rust. Candidate for conversion back to stock.

No, not all mods are good mods. You already know what to do with this one. Those mods have really devalued that 356. Zoinks, the work it'll take to put it back.

In my opinion, those are very tasteless body modifications and have lowered the car's value.

Yikes!!! I know my 356 could fix it, but he’d rather work on ones that done need to undo bad cosmetic surgery.

FWIW, I always wanted a set of those 17x7 wheels (past them classic fuchs style and run them on my skinny fender 914…anyone got a set cheap for me to experiment with?

Two pieces of good news, it is no reserve and will probably sell cheap, so someone will get a good car at an affordable price, that's something that's rare with a 356.

Looks like a nice 1/8" skim coat of filler. Safe to assume the whole car is not the prettiest metal. I dare you to put a paint thickness magnet gauge tool thingy on it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)
